A little dose of nature for your morning. 🌿
Can you get outside and look up into some treetops today? Or spend five minutes in the garden? We are very lucky here in the Illawarra to have so many beautiful walking trails, lookouts and deep forest right on our doorstep.
Did you know that trees release scents that actively reduce the production of stress hormones? Just being amongst trees calms us without even thinking about it!
They give us awe, wonder, perspective and therapy.
As we try and find a rhythm in this new way of being and living right now, try to remember to include a dose of nature, each day. It will do us all the world of good. 🌿🌿🌱🌱
Interested in knowing more about how AMAHZING trees are and how they help humans to feel good? (As well as a myriad of other ways they contribute to the biodiversity and eco-systems of the planet)?

Over here at Rumpus, we are following the media, watching the news, reading the articles, listening to the podcasts, feeling the feelings. We are learners, our work is about learning. National Reconciliation week has driven home just how much further we have to go in truly working towards healing.
Did you know that drawing, singing, dancing, knitting, any creative practice, actively reduces stress hormones and promotes calming of our nervous system?
Rumpus delivers a range of training and creative programs on mental health and psychological safety for teams. We are based in the beautiful Illawarra, the perfect spot for team off-sites and retreats, just 90 minutes south of Sydney.

Are you feeling wired, hyper-vigilant and awake? Panicky, fluttery in the belly, a bit shaky? Or exhausted, flat and drained? It’s so very likely that right now many of us are in Survival Mode: our flight/fight response is ON, adrenaline is surging and we are unconsciously and consciously primed to perceive danger. This is so understandable right now. We’ve never been through this before.
The Irish Government are choosing to describe ‘self-isolating’ and ‘quarantine’ as Cocooning.
Folks, let’s talk about ‘Social Distancing’. Us humans are ‘social’ beings which means we seek and crave companionship and are suited to living in communities, yes? It’s wired into our DNA, our bones. Ya feel? Well, nothing about that has changed. We are seeing, and sure you are too, humans getting real creative with ways to continue to connect, and be connected in these times.
Skillshare invites anyone in the community to share a skill by teaching a class. We are not seeking experts, we are seeking passionate individuals who are eager to pass their knowledge along.
