Many of us have forgotten to play, or even how to play.
Purposeful play activities provide creative focus, an opportunity for learning and failing, and re-connect us to sensory experiences. Activities like cooking, painting, or gardening or movement, reduce the physiological symptoms of stress and anxiety, relaxing our nervous system down from a state of ‘flight or fight’ and ignite our senses. They carve out space in our busy brains to be free of outcomes, lists, judgements, shoulds and deadlines. They let us be free, even if it’s just for 20 minutes a day.
Rumpus designs and delivers Purposeful Play experiences for large scale groups or smaller bespoke workshops.
