What native edible plants are around Wollongong? How can you grow and eat them? Smell, touch and taste wonderous plants such as myrtle, midyin berry, lilli pilli, saltbush, warrigal greens, wattleseed and more. Narelle Happ is a locally renowned permaculture expert, designer and educator. Her passion for native bush foods has led her to teach workshops all over Australia.

Everyone’s favourite MacCabe Park fun day Viva la Gong returns on Saturday 9 November from 11am-7pm. This year’s event has drawcards that’ll keep everyone happy. Kids will be able to put their circus skills to the test and try their hand at some arts and crafts activities. The whole family can bust a move at the silent disco, and then eat their way around the food market stalls. Adults, meanwhile, can catch an outdoor poetry slam performance or a take five at the pop-up lawn library.
