Kumihimo - Japanese weaving

2 1/2 Hours
Bulli Community Centre

In this workshop you will learn to create a round braid using the Japanese braiding technique known as Kumihimo. This braiding technique can be used in many ways, jewellery, cordage and also rope making and decorative purposes.

Absolute beginners welcome, but if you have a love for weaving and textiles and want a new method to tip your creative toe into, this one is for you! Alone Kumihimo can be technically tricky, but in the hands of our lovely teacher Natalie, she'll make you feel like a pro, and get you addicted to this very enjoyable weaving form.

In 2 1/2 hours you will learn about the history and techniques, be provided with all materials and gain the skills to continue
+finish weaving after the class.
