Mental Health First Aid is the nationally accredited training for individuals and teams to be able to effectively respond to mental health issues.
The Online Mental Health First Aid program covers the same material as the standard 2-day course, but instead is covered through:
+ Online Self-Paced eLearning
+ 2x Live Online Workshops
You'll learn how to:
+ Recognise common mental health issues
+ Provide initial help using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan
+ Respond in a Mental Health crisis situation
+ Seek appropriate professional help
You will receive:
+ A Mental Health First Aid Manual (posted to your address)
+ A Mental Health First Aid Certificate of Accreditation (valid for 3 years)

+ Friday 7 August: Start Self-Paced eLearning (6 hours, over two weeks)
+ Fri 21 August: Live Online Workshop #1 (12.30pm-3pm, via Zoom)
+ Fri 28 August: Live Online Workshop #2 (12.30pm-3pm, via Zoom)
About the Trainer
+ Caitlin Marshall is an experienced trainer and facilitator. She holds a Certificate IV in Teaching & Training.
+ Caitlin has been a teacher and trainer in Community Services, Domestic Violence and Vicarious Trauma.
+ Caitlin co-designed MakeShift: Creativity on Prescription, a program that is pioneering alternative mental health support in NSW.
+ The self-paced eLearning component takes approximately 6 hours to complete. You will have two weeks to complete this.
+ The eLearning component must be completed before attending the first Workshop.
+ The class size is limited to 12 participants.
+ To participate in this program, you will need a smartphone or device with camera and microphone that you can use to access a Zoom videocall.
+ On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a Certificate of Completion. In order to qualify for a Certificate of Accreditation, participants must complete the eLearning, attend both Workshops, and complete the Accreditation Assessment.
