Low rainfall, water restrictions and having less time for gardening can put stress on our gardens and our time in the garden. With some clever strategies, gardens can not only thrive but also provide us with food, habitat for bees, insects and birds, and create an oasis which we can unwind in and enjoy all year round.

In this Waterwise Workshop Narelle will take you through:

Soil – what type do you have, how can it be improved, what plants will grow best in your soil, both edible and native?

Plant selection – this is crucial – what plants have adapted to a waterwise garden?

Watering – efficient use of water in the garden

Mulching – what mulch works best and how essential it is to a waterwise garden
